Lewis and Clark. An obsession. The reason we drove from Springfield MO, to St. Charles, MO. 2004 a group of men decided to retrace the exact steps of Lewis and Clark. It was the 200th anniversary. We followed them like ridiculous fans when they made it to the Pacific Northwest. Our Roger Wendlick was a small part of it. Josh, the great kid with Adorable son Fynn (see previous pics), spent three years portraying Patrick Shannon, as he is a descendent. His grandpa was also part of the team. It was so cool - here at my Levee (where I work out) was a grand ceremony - several years before we knew wed be living here. Greg Aalvik, Yvette Aalvik McCartney and Jeffrey Aalvik, your family was celebrated that night. I saw your grandpa - ...... the speech caused us all to cry. This was a monumental time for me. I could go on and on......suffice it to say, this made such an impression that we have a room dedicated to Lewis and Clark!!!! So, to be in St. Charles where the re-enactors started was HUGE !!!! Edwin, the guy in period dress, was a great talker and we shared stories......
