Liam had a great check up today! We hit the hospital first (3 1/2 hour visit), went out for lunch and then hit the campus of Dartmouth to run around. So howd he do? He gained 5 pounds in 3 months! We even had to increase his enzyme dose to accommodate his growth! Yeah! Another tweak to his inhaled meds to hopefully take care of some trouble breathing when he exercises, but lungs sounded good overall! ENT said ears, nose and throat were looking good too! Well be back in three months to CF clinic and back in 6 months to the ENT…we like that! He had blood drawn to make sure his liver enzymes continue to be on a downward trend. He also had a throat culture to see if there are any bugs in the lungs. Well get those results next week. Fingers crossed! On a side note, today was the FIRST time I didnt have to hold him down while they cultured him! He usually fights it kicking and screaming the whole way. I am so incredibly proud of him for stepping up to his fears! It was a proud mama moment to see him take control of his care! Amazing job, Liam!
