Liberal Party winners to take oath June 28 By: Felipe V. Celino June 22,2013 12:18 AM ROXAS City – Eighty-seven elected officials under the Liberal Party will take their oath of offices on June 28 after a Thanksgiving Mass at the Roxas City Metropolitan Cathedral. Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Zoe Herreras Jr. said newly appointed Associate Justice of Court of Appeals Edward Contreras will administer the mass oath-taking of the winning candidates from the governor to Sangguniang Bayan members. A former Regional Trial Court executive judge in Roxas City, Contreras was appointed Associate Justice for Mindanao after Associate Justice Abraham Borreta died due to ailment. Herrera said reelected Gov. Victor Tanco Sr. will lead the winning local LP bets in Capiz. Tanco recently took his oath of office before President Benigno Aquino III in Malacañang together with fellow winning LP governors. Reelected Vice Gov. Esteban Evan “Nonoy” Contreras, Capiz First District Rep. Antonio del Rosario, Board Members Blesida Perez-Almalbis, Emmanuel Billones Jr., Eduardo Magallanes, Roberto Ignacio, Enrique Martin of First District and Aldwin Cruz-Am, Karen Palomar, and Eleuper Martinez of Second District will also be present. In Roxas City, reelected Mayor Angel Alan Celino will lead the mass oath-taking of 11 city officials. Also to take their oath of offices are the elected and reelected mayors, vice mayors and SB members from the towns of Panay, Panitan, Pontevedra, President Roxas, Maayon, Pilar, Ivisan, Sapian, Mambusao, Jamindan, Dumalag, Cuartero, Dao, Tapaz, Sigma and Dumarao.
