Libertarian statists are irrational. At a point theyre even worse than Democrats, because at least the Democrats start off with the notion that The State is inherently righteous. Libertarians *know* the state is an oppressive thief, and advocate it anyway! Libertarians who still advocate Government do not follow through with the basis of the philosophy, the non-aggression principle. The non-aggression principle logically rules out all taxation, as it is coercive. This in turn rules out The State. All libertarians must logically be anarchists, or they will not hold true to the philosophy. The Libertarian cause is fundamentally the same as the Democrat cause: Statism. They dont advocate liberty. They dont hold liberty to be the highest political ends, since they advocate a state, which is the enemy of liberty. Nor do they consider liberty to be the highest political means, since they believe in voting in an attempt to somehow achieve it, which is logically impossible. They still believe we need permission from politicians to be free.
