Liberty Properties is aware that protests are planned to take place at Eastgate Shopping Centre and Sandton City tomorrow (Saturday, 30 August 2014). We wish to advise shoppers that we have not given permission for these protests to take place on our premises and that we are taking the necessary precautions for the sake of safety and security. We support all the rights and principles enshrined in our Constitution, including the right to protest within legal parameters. Eastgate Shopping Centre and Sandton City are private properties and the safety of our shoppers and tenants is of the utmost importance to us at all times. For this reason we do not allow demonstrations or unauthorised gatherings on our premises
