Liberty USO recognized Staff Sgt. Jeremiah Goldsworthy, a full-time training noncommissioned officer with the 28th Infantry Division, as one of its Hometown Heroes during the Sunday, Dec. 7 Eagles football game in Philadelphia. Goldsworthy, a Souderton resident and Eagles fan, serves with Co. A, 1-111th Infantry Battalion, Philadelphia. He and his wife, Nicole, have been involved in the USO since he deployed in 2004-05, while serving with the New Jersey Army National Guard’s 2-102nd Armor. “It was definitely an honor to see the fans be so supportive,” Goldsworthy said. He said fans and even some players offered handshakes and pats on the back throughout the game.
