Liberty friends: Im feeling a little down about this years elections and I wanted to hear your thoughts. In my opinion we didnt do too hot this year. Weve actually lost at least incumbent 3 liberty Republicans in the House so far, between Congressman Steve Stockman and Paul Broun making failed bids for the Senate this year, and Congressman Kerry Bentivolio losing his primary. In the Senate, along with the two aforementioned candidates, our boys Greg Brannon, Senator Lee Bright, Chris McDaniel for United States Senate joined a slough of other tea party candidates who I cared somewhat less about in losing their respective primaries to the establishment. I guess the closest thing we have to a victory is Ben Sasse? And I dont even know how good hes supposed to be. In the House Im looking forward to having Clint Didier 4 Congress from my former home state of Washington. I think he probably has that race locked in. Same for Dave Brat for Congress, although Im not sure he meets 100% of the requirements to be considered a liberty candidate, his victory over Eric Cantor was probably enough to cover all our losses as far as media attention is concerned. I know Rod Blum 2014 is putting up a fight in Iowa, but I wouldnt call that race a likely victory. My question is this: Am I missing something? Are there other liberty candidates I havent heard about who made it through their primaries and look at least viable in the general? Or are we really taking a loss this year for the first time in a long while?
