Lido life is full of surprises! During the last week we have: 1. been awarded a small monetary prize by a Spanish company that works with over 200 countries worldwide. 2. Met more fantastic local individuals and organisations who have chosen to volunteer &/or contribute their expertise on this fantastic project. 3. Provided international competitors for an inter-university race project the opportunity to test out their equipment, this included cooperation & collaboration between English, Dutch, German & American subjects. 3. Been invited to contribute to a media article for a couple of newspapers in East Anglia. You never know what is round the corner..... we may even be able to open the pool in the not too distant future.... BUT, please dont forget, we are all volunteers.... we have few resources and scarce funds... preparation of the pool & site costs are huge.... lifeguards are still being recruited and they need additional training for a pool of the size & depth... Together we WILL make this happen :o)
