Lies in your kids textbooks: 1. That our tailbone is a vestigial bone and is proof for evolution. WRONG. It is the connection point of 8 or 9 muscles that help you do some very important things. Without it, you would be a very unhappy pooper...I mean camper. 2. That whales have vestigial leg bones that are proof for evolution. WRONG. Those bones are used in the whales reproduction. 3. That the appendix is vestigial and unnecessary and is proof for evolution. WRONG. The appendix is part of your immune system and, though you can live without it, you will be susceptible to a lot of infections and diseases you were not susceptible to before. You can live w/out your arms and legs too but that doesnt mean theyre vestigial. 4. The similar wrist bones in many mammals are proof of evolution from a common ancestor. WRONG. Its proof of a common creator...DUH!
