Life Is Rich: This morning I read a post by my friend Mike Grubbs, a true Biblical scholar. Heres what he shared, According to church leaders.org for every 1000 or so church doors open, another 4000 closes on an annual basis. My response: I think the 1000 church starts to 4000 church closes ratio parallels with the same issues that inexperienced and untrained small business owners face which result in a similar fate. Members or visitors of a church must receive value beyond spirituality and entertainment in order to contribute its upkeep. Build the people. Build the church. Why? Because the people are the church, not the four walls. Enough with the rah rah. The people need to know how to take the word and apply it on a practical basis to experience heaven on earth.
