Life Is So Incredibly Precious. I was amongst many today who gathered to celebrate and honor the life of Pat Mahan Rennels. She was just the perfect mix of saucy and sweet. Her husband of fifty-four years knew this about her and asked for her hand in marriage on their third date. Pat was an only child who gave birth to an only child who happens to be A Really Big Deal and my friend, Tami Rennels Long. However, she was only a really big deal until the birth of her own children. Like most grandmothers Pat would tell you that her grandchildren, Haylee and Hayden were The Most Beautiful, Brilliant and Ridiculously Adorable children to walk the Earth. And, I assure you that I never argued that fact, until I had my own. Her GrandOnes truly are amazing. Pat was a Living Example of the fact that Life is all about Faith, Family and Friends. The pastor spoke of the gift of friendship and how there are those people that you just like right away. At that moment, I felt a little nudge from my lifelong friend Eddie. As our eyes met we couldnt help but to give each other that cheshire cat grin. I looked at those who we were sitting with; I have loved Melinda aka Jane and her parents for as long as I can remember. There were so many wonderful people present including The Euless Police Department. I know that Pat would have laughed at my direct inquiry to them regarding their presence. After all, I did return those Library Books years ago. I am sure that she would have been quick to let me know that for once it was not about me. It made me giggle when it was said that she couldve (and probably shouldve been granted the opportunity) to have given Wash a Few Tips regarding Her Rangers. I love that she was laid to rest wearing her Ranger Baseball Attire. Additionally she was with Her Fork in Hand as just like with dessert, the best of her life was yet to come. I loved her. I ended the afternoon by welcoming my lifelong friend, Eddie Vaughans Beautiful Granddaughter, Miya into this world. She is ever so perfect and truly a gift indeed. No surprise as she is just like her Mamma. Yes friends, life is precious, sweet and all too fleeting. Remember to use your time and words wisely as neither can be returned. And please never forget that a persons greatest emotional needs are to feel loved and appreciated. #FullHeart. #BlessedGirl.
