Life Lesson- I knew and those who knew me, knew that God had called me to minister. So I went to study Theology, and at the age of 26 I was ordained, and was in the pulpit. But there was something pulling me as well. I didnt look like what other preachers looked like, I was young and I was a female. Some places I went the people were reluctant to hear me because they assumed that I had no word that would bring them deliverance. They didnt know that the hells I had gone thru were permitted so I could go back and pull others out. I was walking in the mold that others had for me. But I knew that the ministry God had called me into was beyond the pulpit. He allowed me to see the machine from behind the scenes. He allowed me to be hurt by the very people I had poured my life out for. He allowed me to go thru a season of bitterness. He allowed me to be so disgruntled by how we as leaders were running His ministry, that I left the church. All that to bring me back to a place or truth and transparency. He let me know that I didnt have to be in a robe in a pulpit for Him to use me. Often we are too preoccupied trying to fit the mold that we are missing out on where God wants to take us. Some of the most beautiful movements of God that I have ever seen have been in women in prison. Women who were physically locked up but more free spiritually than many people sitting in pews every day. Know your purpose for yourself and stop limiting God on how and where He can use you.
