Life artist Filur did something he never has done before today. I was leading him around the riding arena before work and he suddenly started to walk with his head very low. I found it weird and asked him what he was doing, but before I got an answer he was lying down rolling himself to his hearts content. Luckily I managed to get his reins over his head and away from his hoofs in time. I could almost hear hisAhhhh thats nice and see the smile on his face :-) Randomly lying down and having a roll when out and about is of course not the best and safest thing to do for a blind horse, but at the same time I could not help but laugh and be incredibly thankful and happy for the trust and contentment he shows and that he feels so safe in his surroundings. He is so wonderful! Afterward he offered me some of the best piaffe we have had since he first got his injury and seems so proud and happy to get back in shape. After that I have kept thinking about what incredible life artists my four soul horses are, and the important lessons they try to teach me every single day. I am a slow learner, but better slow than not at all ;-) and luckily my teachers have great patience with me:-)
