Life generally cannot be lived on assumptions. However, a pretentious way of life as can be seen in almost all humans today can best be viewed as only being temporal as we are every now and then found dissociating ourselves from the current realities of what life holds for us at present moments, thus, seen as portraying to the world an adopted life style that is better imagined which is far away from the current realities. Now, when this happens, we see ourselves making conscious efforts to measure up to the assumed standard of life weve set for ourselves not minding whether the means of reaching or achieving this imagined standard is genuine or not. That is why in contemporary society, we find people indulging in all forms of dirty and unscrupulous deals just to attain a status theyve not yet reached which has contributed to a swift and degenerating level of societys decadence. We must therefore all stop dreaming, we must come out from our shell of pretence and live out our true identities and face the reality of life anchored on ethics and rationality.
