Life gets really heavy at times, and it feels as if Im going down - TopicsExpress

Life gets really heavy at times, and it feels as if Im going down for the last time. But the enemy came too late to make me believe that. God has shown up way too many times in my life, in completely impossible situations, and moved the biggest mountains. He hasnt always shown up when I thought He should, it may have been at the very last second, but He has ALWAYS shown up. Over the past 6 or 7 years, I have developed a crazy faith, that not one single thing, event, or person can shake.. And do you know how I got that kind of faith? By going through some stuff.. Stuff that the devil thought would break me.. HA! Boy was he wrong! Looks like he would get tired of wasting his time! Life is heavy right now, but Im not stressing, Im not depressed, because I know who is on my side.. And I walk in His favor, and its pretty awesome! NO WEAPON formed against me, my husband, or my children shall prosper.. ALL things will work together for our good. Stand back and watch! Perfect Faith By adminon Thu, 24 Jul 2014 “But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Matthew 14:27 (NIV) I could call this devotional “Perfect Courage,” but there is no true courage without true faith. Most of us are familiar with this passage of Peter walking on water. There is much to be gleamed from this passage. Jesus has just finished spending time with the Father in prayer. In the midst of the storm, about 3:00 am in the morning, Jesus begins to walk on water towards them, when the disciples see him, the Bible says they were terrified, and Jesus tells them to “take courage. I am here!” We often focus on Peter, but I like to focus on Jesus for a moment. Jesus spent time with the Father. He is aware of the storm and shows up in the midst of the storm. Peter’s role was to take courage, have faith and keep walking. He did not have to watch where he was going; he just had to keep his eyes on Jesus. It didn’t matter if he doubted for a moment and stumbled – he just had to keep heeding the voice of Jesus. Perfect faith trust God anywhere and all the time. In the perfect storm of our lives, and we all have them, our role is to keep our eyes on Jesus. That is difficult because the circumstances in our lives are often very loud or “in your face” and that is often all we can see. But to keep the faith, we must also spend time with the Father in prayer and keep taking one step at a time toward Jesus; hearing His voice that says, “come this way, do this, say this or “be still.” Perfect faith keeps trusting even when others may have doubt or lost faith – like the disciples who stayed in the boat and watched. I have learned in my own life that God sometimes allows the perfect storm to perfect our faith. “So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine.” (1 Peter 1:6, 7 NIV) Peter wrote this because he lived it first. Perfect faith believes in a perfect God who is always there even when life isn’t perfect. Prayer: Lord, I love and trust you and know that you are faithful. It is time I come to a new level in you. It’s time for me to step out of the boat and keep my eyes and ears on you. Thank you for courage and the faith to move forward. In Jesus’ name. Daughters of the King devotional (And guess what song just came on klove as I typed this? I will praise You in this storm) 😊
