Life in a shelter can be very stressful for cats and dogs. They are typically expected to live in a cage, surrounded by many other cats or dogs that arent overly happy there either. BYC has designed our adoption center with the welfare of the resident cats and dogs in mind. The cats are allowed to roam freely around the house, not live in cages. They have sofas to snooze on and large windows where they can watch birds and chipmunks come to the feeders. As you can see from these photos, taken at the cat adoption center, our plan is working. The cats are relaxed and happy while they wait for homes of their own. Visitors can sit on a sofa and are quickly surrounded by cats and kittens that want to meet them. People can comfortably visit numerous times to make their decision on which cat to adopt. The adoption fee always includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, and health testing. Please support this model by making a donation to BYC during the next hour through Erie Gives by clicking on the link below. Why donate today through this campaign? Because The Erie Community Foundation will match a percentage of each donation you make today through Erie Gives, making your donation a bit larger. Please hurry--you only have minutes left to donate through this campaign! Please share this status so others learn about BYC and are able to donate also. eriegives.org/nonprofit-search/?organization_id=175
