Life in the mountains. Its not all moonbeams and faery glamour. Someday, its shot guns and hunting rifles. Sometimes for hours. The local shooting range is about a 130 yds up the road. Its been there for 50+ years. So, far, so good. We do get ricochets through the trees occasionally. When we do, I head up there and politely ask them to adjust their angle of fire to put them more solidly into the berms. The range is legal and there is nothing to be done about it. It is loud. VERY loud at times. When we first moved here, we were startled and shocked each time. It isnt shooting in general. We are firearm owners, and occasionally target shoot right in our yard. It was the volume and regularity of it. We are the closest home and the big rifles are thunderous. Rattle the windows. Now, we barely jump. It isnt for everyone and is a fact of life here.
