Life is a contest of influence. We are either being influenced by the natural or influencing the natural with the supernatural. We are dual creatures. We carry the supernatural nature of God in frail natural bodies. Our victory is dependent on our continuous ability and willingness to subject the natural to the supernatural, spirit over flesh. Natural men will expect us to think and act like they do. The world system will spew words and images to feed our flesh, to keep us within the confines of the natural, but our daily battle is to rise above it; to keep in step with the Spirit; to walk in the supernatural. To do this, a lifestyle of prayer and meditation on the Word of God is a pre-requisite. We will fall to the natural if we stay under the influence of the natural, but we will control the natural if we remain in the supernatural. God has given us the capacity to be a positive influence to the world around us. It is in holding firmly to the Word of Life that we shine like stars in a depraved and perverse generation (Philippians 2:15-16). Let us stay rooted in the supernatural via the Word of God and the Spirit, and let us exercise perpetual dominion over the natural today, and for the rest of our lives, in Jesus name.
