Life is eternal. We need to focus on the two stocks of the present and the future and not get stuck in the past. We must always have the spirit to start over from now, to start a new struggle each day. Faith is not a matter of academic credentials. Nor is it a matter of understanding the theory. Rather, it comes down to belief; infinite wisdom ahead in life who has strong confidence of faith in the Gohonzon. How do you get the power to survive and be free of restrictive destination? The fundamental source of this power is nothing more than the Mystic Law, the Gohonzon and strong faith. In true Buddhism there is no sentimentality. In order to enjoy health and good luck in your forties and fifties, in order to feel a sense of purpose and success in their daily efforts, it is vital that you build a solid foundation for your life through your Buddhist practice, while you are still young. A leader has to stand at the forefront. You should not simply leave everything to others. It is the duty of leaders to build up their minds in an effort to allow everyone to move forward with joy, self-confidence and hope rising up. (Dr. Daisaku Ikeda)
