Life is like a vapor in the wind, so what are you doing with - TopicsExpress

Life is like a vapor in the wind, so what are you doing with yours? I have a startling revelation to tell you about today… If you are prone to becoming overcome with dizziness, or if you become lightheaded when you receive news that shocks you, you may want to take a seat. Take a deep breath and hold onto your socks, because they may very well launch off your feet after hearing the information I am about to disclose to you. God did not call us to sit in big, comfortable buildings for an hour a week. He doesn’t dwell in temples made with human hands. (Acts 7:48 and Acts 17:24) We are the Temple of God and God dwells within us. (1 Corinthians 3:16 and 1 John 4:12) Jesus told us to tell the world about Him, by telling everyone you know the Gospel. (Mark 16:15) In this verse Jesus did not say to WAIT until people come to you and ask. He said to, “GO!” We need to take the Gospel to them. Jesus also wants us to feed the hungry, give something to drink to the thirsty, show compassion to strangers, give clothes to those that have none, and visit the sick and imprisoned. (Parable of How the Son of Man will Judge the Nations: Matthew 25:31-46) There are several ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus on this earth. Our church is getting a shirt ministry going, where we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ printed on the front and back of shirts and tell people about Jesus. We are also getting a postcard ministry going, where we print the Gospel on a postcard and mail it to people randomly out of the phone book. There are many other things that need to be done, such as: Volunteer at a local food pantry. Volunteer at the Red Cross. Buy a loaf of bread and give it to your neighbors and tell them Jesus is the bread of life. Be creative!!! But DO SOMETHING!!!!! The sinful people of the world are creative in stopping us and spreading the seeds of evil wherever they go, so why can’t we be creative in doing the works Jesus called us to do? Remember, be wise as a serpent but harmless as a doves. (Matthew 10:16) Our life is as short as a vapor in the wind, what are you doing with it? James 4:14 (KJV) 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
