Life is not fair... why is this happening to me? There are times when we feel that way. Something happens to us, and we say, This isnt fair. We seem to be stuck in the same job. Other people get promotions or leave for better jobs somewhere else. We work hard, we do good work, we get along with people, but for some reason, others who were came after us seem to advance, and we dont. We try out for the high school team. Were still in the running coming up to the last cut—from 20 down to 15. As we compare our ability to others, we expect to make it into the final 15. But to our surprise, were cut. We know were better than a couple of the others who made it, and we think, This isnt fair. Why is this happening to me? There was a time when the apostle Paul looked back at what had happened to him. He could have been tempted to focus on the inequities and inequalities of his life situation... but he chose to focus on something else. This Sundays message will help us deal with unfair situations in our lives. This Sunday at WCC we continue working our way through Pauls letter to Christ-followers in Philippi. We will be looking at verses 14-18 of chapter 1. You will hear another Misery enhancing strategy and Pauls contrasting Joy enhancing strategy. Invite someone to come with you, to hear How To Make Your Life Miserable, Part 2 I am looking forward to seeing you Sunday! Pastor Tracy
