Life is so incredibly fragile. It can be gone in a moment. Tonight I had a terrible medication reaction. You know the side effects that are listed on some medications which are so lengthy that manufactures actually have to use a fold out panel to list them all... and the final statement sometimes says...may cause death? Yah, well thats what I was feeling tonight. All is better now. Its pretty much out of my system... but there was an instant when it came close to one of those life flashing before your eyes kind of moments. As I sit here in bed waiting for the adrenaline in my body to wear off and for tiredness to set in, I realize once again how short this life really is. In light of the length of eternity...the eighty odd years that most of us get to enjoy here on earth are but a wisp of time. AND... Its much too short to spend angry. One of the quickest ways to dispel anger is through forgiveness. If youve been wronged, let forgiveness be your pattern of retaliation. I know its not always my first reaction, but we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” So from one woman who was just recently crowned with the title of Gramma (the same woman who would swear that high school feels like it was just a couple of years ago) I wave a flag to remind us...We were not created to carry the weight of anger or judgement. Life is just too short to be burdened with unforgiveness, bitterness or anger. Consider this... Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9
