Life isnt always fair or easy and this is one of those events in life, that one struggles with and tries to reason out in their minds. I guess we shall never really know, and must accept, try to bring peace to lost family members, who are suffering from the blow. As we despair and mourn the loss of our loved one. While thinking about Aunt Hazel today, as it seems I find my mind drifting to her, constantly today, I was remembering the St. Patricks Day story. Mom was on one of her visits to Beach City, and it was St. Patricks day. Mom and Hazel dressed up in identical outfits. Black slacks, green socks, green decorated T-shirts and even green shamrock hats!!! They were literally decked out, from head toe for the holiday. Then they set off for Walmart and some shopping. Each took their own cart and set off in different directions. Hazel was finished shopping and began searching for Donna Mae. She spotted her in the clothing department, and waved at her, calling out Donna Mae, I am over here..................... It was only then she realized she had caught a glimpse of HERSELF in a full length mirror................... ROFLOL I absolutely love that story, cracked me up every time I heard it. Aunt Hazel and Mom would tell it and laugh and laugh. They laughed a lot together, they both knew all the characters in their reminiscing stories, they shared common bonds and a rich deep history. More than sisters, best friends. My heart is heavy, and I feel deeply and profoundly the loss.
