Life knows life. Scents and glimmers all alive with purposive expression and relation. Eyes to eyes the truth is immediately clarified. One could say that all of life is first one vast distributed organism, but this would be too crude a thing — this organism recognizes and enchants itself. It is a superposition of being. Transentient. And this is why we do not easily recognize that our own intelligence emerges from and is immersed in something so advanced that it would shatter our models and religions. We are looking for sentience. Yet our world is »transentient and our own faculties are a subset of this, not a superset. We are not gods, but children of something divine. Life knows life. But our vulnerability to our own hubris, fear, insecurity and vanity too easily deceives us. We’re looking for representationals... but that’s our role... we’ve got the order of polarities... backwards. All that we think to seek in the sky is right here, near at hand. To those with eyes to see, any living world... is a door to all the others. Life knows life. A thread of unity transcends and magnifies the meaning of distinction... in the most unbelievable ways. A game, in fact... so astonishing that merely understanding its general shape...
