Life lesson: young kid in BRAND NEW mustang hits fully grown steer (about 1500 lbs) at 70mph. Air bag deployed and everything from the windshield forward was destroyed. Animal throw about 12ft up into air, turned 180 degrees around and lands four car lengths away from impact site. He and the can following swerved around and I believe were going to leave. Car only made it about an rights of a mile before it died. I stop and put emergency lights in to let other traffic know there is a road hazard. No lighting in this area. Military guys come walking back from the van. Steer is still alive. The existed guys all stand back. The 2nd lt goes up and shines a light in the steers face. At this time it strains, moves its head and tries to get up. Dummy. Died a few minutes. A couple of you guys always rag on me about how i drive. I know if its HUGE and crossing the street to friggin let it go first. And no---the guy was not on the phone but he was speeding. Yeah I know I haul ass but in areas of open cattle range I keep it civil and focus wayyyyyy down the road.
