Life really is about perception Its all about how you do see things And truly our sight can change from day to day Yes in just an instant were forced to look a lil differently One man may consume the wrong kind of mushroom Then he is filled with fear and afraid of the eternal doom Or perhaps joy will fill his life For that moment in time, he sees beyond all struggle and strife All of the ill feelings that he has ever felt They do fall away and into a vanishing liquid they do melt For another man he may face some tragedy that can not be undone Away from life and from living, he just wants to turn and run To him it is no longer about enjoying what is fun Truly the mind is a thing that is easy to alter In a flash all the things we thought we knew, they fail and falter Were lead around by circumstance, like a horse by a halter The great Spongebob did once say You just gotta believe And was he not right? Is it not about what we do perceive? Take a sweet gal that has a lil too much whiskey She puts down her guard and feels a lil frisky Sometimes we do think on things way to much Then tomorrow we fail to think on it enough Like some heavenly card game, we must know how to bluff And also we must know when it is time to give up and fold In those times we just gotta do what we were told I suppose its mostly about never becoming too sure And realizing were all mixed up, none of us are pure Though we will all change just as quickly as the weather We must see and perceive that we are in this together
