Life throws a lot of curve balls at you....change isnt easy, and the inevitable can be very hard to accept. I am so thankful for all my friends--some who Ive known for a long time, and some who I have only met recently--who have been a comfort for me these past few weeks...whether it be a facebook message, a phone call, a pat on the back, a hug, or just a smile as we pass. However, I have to say, I cant help but be hurt by ones Ive known my whole life who have yet to take a second to even acknowledge that they at least care. You think you know people, but sometimes even after knowing them for 30 years, they never cease to amaze you at how easily it is for them to walk right by you and not say a word. I wouldve been the first one to call if something was going on with their family, because thats what a decent person does. Oh well, I have a lot more to worry about than a person who doesnt care about me. So, to all of you who have cared enough to take a minute to be a friend to me through all this heartache, I thank you...It means the world to me.
