So if youre not getting involved until NOW... The onus is on YOU. Public meetings. Public records. Months of conversation. What isnt worth funding? Where did the committee that you didnt know about (because you didnt care enough to educate yourself) go wrong? Tell them. Tell the kids. You didnt care enough to get involved, until you learned that your taxes would increase. So tell them... What will you deprive them of, to keep a penny in your own pocket? Tell them. Say it out loud.
