Light Focus Summer Design Build Workshop Woodbury School of Architecture San Diego July 15-August 9, 2013 Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Light-Focus is a 4-week intensive workshop that investigates design and construction techniques distinct to the San Diego region. The primary focus pays tribute to the materials, structures, and logics that make up lightweight constructions. Full-scale prototypes will be developed and explored through the lens of climates and atmospheres. Research will be conducted through focused design exercises, hands-on material testing, and field trips to local manufacturers. A public exposé celebrating the culmination of work will be hosted.
