Light W-SW wind is producing clean conditions on most of our beaches but there is a definite lack of swell. Open beaches and northern corners are attracting a few small waves but they are lapping close to the shore. It may improve a little as the tide drops out. Main breaks around town are flat although the beginner should enjoy the conditions. A high pressure system is moving east of Tasmania strengthening a ridge across the western Tasman Sea. This high is expected to be very slow-moving. Winds: Southerly 10 to 15 knots turning southeasterly in the late morning. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: South to southeasterly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore south of Crowdy Head during the afternoon. Weather: Scattered thunderstorms. coastalwatch/surf-cams-surf-reports/nsw/port-macquarie
