Light rain and drizzle will be on the way out this evening. Some of you might see the sunset as the clouds begin to thin out. Overnight tonight temperatures will drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s so expect a refreshing start to the day on Saturday. It will be mostly sunny Saturday afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 60s. Another storm system will quickly move into the Southeast Sunday. This will spread a thick blanket of clouds over the Tennessee Valley by Sunday afternoon. The wind will pick up from the ESE at 10-15mph. Temperatures will warm into the 60s Sunday but the cloud cover will give way to rain in the afternoon hours. Heavy rain and some strong thunderstorms will develop Sunday evening into Monday morning. Rain will become heavy at times and rainfall totals could exceed two inches in many areas. Flash flooding could become a problem early Monday morning. Right now the primary threat for severe weather will remain over south Alabama but it is something we will be keeping an eye on as the storm develops and tracks to the northeast. Stay tuned to the latest developments on the Sunday storm system throughout the weekend on waff and with our weather app. Have a great night.
