Lightspeed Aviation Foundation to Announce Grant Recipients of the 2014 Pilots Choice Awards Lake Oswego, OR, October 15, 2014 — The Lightspeed Aviation Foundation will announce on Saturday, November 1, 2014, the 2014 Pilots Choice Award winning aviation charities as chosen through online voting by over 60,000 people in the aviation community. Since March, fifteen worthy finalists have been reaching out to pilots and constituents to garner their votes as the best organizations for 2014. They hope to share in $50,000 of grants with a top award of $10,000. The live announcement of the 2014 Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Pilots Choice Awards winners is scheduled for noon (PDT) on November 1 in the press area of the main exhibit hall at the FLYING Aviation Expo sponsored by FLYING, in Palm Springs, California. Award finalists and expo visitors are encouraged to attend this exciting, live event to celebrate with the recipients. The pilot community can still vote for their favorite aviation charity online until midnight (PDT) October 31, 2014.
