Like I said before, its good to know your rights lest they be violated. This guy stood strong and did not cave in to police intimidation. Good on him for exercising his fourth amendment rights and filming for his own protection. The police cannot demand your ID if they are simply detaining you. They can ask, but you do not have to comply. The only time you have to give them your ID is if you are being charged with breaking the law. If they cannot tell you that you broke the law, they have no right to see your ID. It violates the unreasonable search and seizure clause of the Fourth Amendment.
