Like I said in a previous post, you need not be Catholic to feel blessed and grateful that Pope Francis is in our midst. Over the last couple of days, we have seen Christ in Him, in his manner of speaking, in his words, his smile, his humor, and most of all in his attentiveness to everyone he encounters. You see Christ in his eyes, and for those who have had the blessing of a personal encounter, Im certain you could feel it in his heart too. Pope Francis reminds us constantly, Jesus first. It doesnt matter what faith or creed you belong to, Pope Francis has clearly brought us all closer to Jesus, reminding us that prayer, mercy and compassion, especially towards those who need it the most, must be part our daily lives. I pray that we remember all of His wonderful, valuable lessons long after he leaves our country on Monday.
