Like a joke, years have gone without history course in our secondary schools, I never knew we are in trouble not until a SS3 student asked me if Obafemi Awolowo is a footballer!. Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who brought free education to Nigeria, the first television station in Nigeria was through him (WNTV), the publisher of present Tribune Newspaper, a hero who contributed largely to independence in this country was devalued as a footballer. My H.O.D. Mr Babatunde Ishamoko will say if you dont know where you are coming from, you can never get to where you are going. How can a country move forward without the knowledge of the past? All the countries in the world who make use of Written Constitution, experience (history) is one of the sources of it. This same history is one of the best way to solve conflict in any given society, then while cancellation? Did they think they can never make history of this country?, but at least, they can still make history, being among the most corrupt leader we ever produced. This should be an end to what is not right in educational sector, we employ all authority in charge to please for betterment of the country reinstate our History back as a course!..#BringBackOurHistory..
