Like all the Sprakers dogs taken in by NEBCR in January 2014, Duncan (formerly known as Hanzo) was in very poor condition health-wise, matted and stinky when he first arrived at his foster home. In addition to this he was quite fearful of humans, and needed many months of learning how to trust before being ready to find his forever home. Duncan is now adopted, and is living the good life with a family of his own. He has continued to make great progress thanks to their love and patience. Heres an update from his new mom: We adopted Duncan a few months ago and he is doing great. We have gone through a training class which was a huge challenge for him, not from a training perspective, but because he was so scared. By the end of the series, he would actually wag his tail the whole time. He has started to settle in really well now. He loves my two boys, likes car rides, and to tease the cats. He has started to remember that bathroom duties are done outside and has finally started to ask to go out. He is such a love, it is such fun to see him come out of his shell. He has been a great addition to the menagerie.
