Like everyone else on Facebook I was so sad to hear of the passing of Robin Williams. He was a hilarious man who brought joy and laughter to so many and from all personal accounts a wonderful family man and friend. I can only imagine how ravaged a mind must be to see no way out but to end your life. How very sad. With that being said, it hurts my heart to see so much emphasis being put on the life and death of this man while we have brave men and women dying every day to protect our freedom and they barely get a mention, if at all. Brave policeman and firefighters who put their lives on the line day after day to keep us safe and when tragedy strikes their life, it goes barely noticed. They dont get a front page spread in the newspaper or a week long tribute on TV and radio. To my way of thinking, something is wrong with that. Robin Williams was a great man, but God rest his soul, he was just a man. If Ive offended anyone, Im sorry. I just call em like I see em.
