Like many of my generation, Ive been influenced by Sheikh Hamza Yusuf since 2000. I cannot claim to have seen or heard all of his lectures, talks and khutbas. But in all these years, Ive never seen him deliver a khutba this way where his body language is telling. He looks tired, sounds fed up, and appears almost at a loss reflecting on the madness engulfing the Muhammadan umma, And he concludes by beseeching Allah like a drowning man. May Allah protect Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, his loved ones, his teachers, his students, and all who love him for the sake of Allah. May Allah make us of those who listen with our hearts, think with our souls, and obey with our limbs.
