Like most people in this country I have bills to pay and I always try to keep on top of them so without mentioning names and places ( ive learned that lesson) i went along today in good faith to try and pay off part of my bill and was met with a rather snobby response, the conversation went as follows Me: good morning, i would like to pay twenty pound towards my bill please? Lady: twenty pounds? Me: yes please Lady: is that all? Me: um.. yes i was told i could pay it off bit by bit every month? Lady: who told you that? Me: you did Lady: did you not get the letter we sent you? Me: it was sent to me yes but ive been away and this is the first chance ive had to come in Lady: where were you Me: greece Lady: thats really no excuse Me: sadly my private jet was out of action Lady: sorry Me: nothing Lady: can you clear the two hundred pound balance just now? Me: i could yes but it means that i dont eat this month Lady: so thats a no then Me: you catch on fast love
