Like so many others, I am deeply saddened and struggling to find the words to express my shock at the news of Mark Paciones sudden passing today. His decades of ministry throughout the Archdiocese of Baltimore and nationally touched so many lives, both young and old. He graced my adolescent life at a formative time, and he continued to provide for me an example of the joy that both animates and comes from ministry. I always thought of him as a poet in an administrators role. My prayers are with the family that was ever so dear to him as they struggle through the loss of their husband and father.
