Like the Gemini in me I am a man for the two seasons of life. I am my own man and will walk the lonely path alone if on it I find comfort in what is right. I can and do change paths in order to recallibrate in the face of error or the avoidance of it. Those who feel that there is one way because the mould is set become cast in it and seek the company of fools unable to recognize the perdition in it. I am of a St Lucian father and Dominican mother but have put my bucket down in Trinidad. Life has taught me about its choices and the consequences of choice making. And while I have aroused the ire of many both in Dominica and in Trinidad and Tobago for choices I have made, they nonetheless remain my choices. I choose to support Kamla as PM in Trinidad and Tobago, and Skerrit in Dominica. Both face the polls in the next twelve months and I expect both to survive. For my support the diaspora on my Dominica side have castigated and derided me, scandalized my name and defamed me from London to New York and Miami. The amazing thing is they think I want something. So bent is their mind on the spoils of victory concept of politics that they cannot leave the moras of it and appreciate that everyone is entitled to their view and to support who they desire to. Thats democracy , so have a great day diasporans and buy your ticket back to the Caribbean soon.
