Lily-Bear, this is my Lilogy, or Lily eulogy for this great little dog. She was a truly beloved dog. Lily-Bear was loved by all who met her. She was so very courageous that she made me feel like Eustis, the old guy (dog owner) from the cartoon, “Courage the Cowardly Dog.” I would call her dumb or stupid as Eustis referred to Courage, knowing full well that had it not been for Courage, Eustis would not have a home. Our home would not have been a home sans Lily-Bear. I constantly commented to Bex of Lily-Bear’s eccentricities (strangeness/obtuseness). Such as, cowering away from treats being tossed to her; or the fact that Lily was clueless where a tennis ball ended up in the yard after she saw me throw it. Yet Lily still was keeper of the yard. Just like Courage (Cowardly Dog), Lily fought courageously against coyotes, rats, and bad people she was able to sniff out. Unfortunately, her final battle was against a large rat that had been terrorizing the very premises that she had secured for the past three years. We loved her deeply and will miss her greatly. Rest in peace, my Lily-Bear
