Lincoln is a true warrior! Today is day 5 and our tiny bundle of love and hope is still fighting on. Last night he began his first blood transfusion and so far so good. Even though blood transfusions are fairly routine and generally do not cause many problems, issues can arise. Infants of Lincolns size and age only have about 2oz of blood circulating through their precious little bodies. Blood tests are a regular part of his care and as they only have 2oz to give, he doesnt have much to spare which means blood transfusions will be a regular and necessary procedure for the next few weeks. Our little man truely is a miracle in all ways, from his devastatingly good looks to his will to live and his ability to fight at such a young age. With all the odds stacked against him he is still pushing forward! Lincoln has shown his father what true courage looks like. Thank you Paxton for protecting your brother from above and adding your strength and courage to his fight.
