Linda Ann Hudson, 63, of Anson, Texas, ended her year-long battle with cancer on January 22, 2015 at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Linda was born November 2, 1951 in Haskell, Texas, to Jim and Rudy Barth. She graduated from Anson High School in 1970, before attending McMurry University, then spent several years living in East Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, before returning to Anson in 1989 to work in the business office at the Anson Clinic and General Hospital. Having an incredible talent for number crunching, program implementation, and management enabled Linda to rise to the position of Finance Director. In 2004, Linda moved to Brady, TX, to become the Chief Financial Officer for the Heart of Texas Hospital. In 2010, Linda took a year and a half off to spend time with her grandchildren, before taking on the role of Finance Director at the Midland Medical Center, where she worked for more than a year before retiring in 2013. In January 1994, Linda married the love of her life, Frank Eugene Hudson. She was known for her wicked sense of humor, her devotion to her grandbabies (often referred to as the baby whisperer), creating a beautiful home, never missing an opportunity to dress up for Halloween, investing heavily in Christmas decorations, and loving small yappy dogs that only a mama could love. Linda is preceded in death by her parents—Jim and Rudy Barth, 2 brothers—John D Barth and Robert Glendale Barth, and 2 children of the canine variety—Ozzie and Cooper. Linda is survived by her soul mate—Frank Eugene Hudson; 5 children—Tracy Mistishen, Charles & Cynthia Andrus, Gene Hudson, and Susan Andrus; 6 grandchildren—Christian and Charity Wallis, Hannah and Addison Mistishen, Jamison and Grace Andrus; her sister and surrogate mother—Nancy Barth; 2 brothers—Joe Barth and Charles Barth; a number of the finest nieces and nephews a girl could dream of; 2 adorably yappy pups—Boo and Odie; and her 2 besties—Roseanne Hill and Myra McGee. The memorial service is from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Adams Graham Funeral Home in Anson, TX. Memorial contributions may be made to Hendricks Hospice Care or Abilene Cancer Network Services.
