Linda Lee Tarver POSTED: Dear Democrats, I am still unnerved by Lon Johnson, Mark Schauer and the Democrats racially motivated assertion and recent lit piece that expresses somehow Democrats are the sole savior of African-Americans in Michigan. The fact that there is no outcry is even sadder. Weez Free Now and free to participate in whatever political party we choose. While i dont expect all people to support the Michigan Republican Party, Black people (African-Americans) deserve better than a plantation mentality and Jim-crow tactics perpetrated by Lon Johnson, Mark Schauer and the Michigan Democratic Party based soley on the color of MY skin. Shameless! Its time to vote for leaders that earned my vote: Governor Rick Snyder, Terri Lynn Land for U.S. Senate, Ruth Johnson for Secretary of State, Bill Schuette for Attorney General, and Justice David Viviano, Justice Brian Zahra, and Judge James Robert Redford for Michigan Supreme Court. So, I submit yet another article (of which I did not write) from a long-time Detroiter and political activists, Adolph Mongo. Except from the article: “I have observed politics in Detroit for more than 30 years. And this upcoming election next month appears to be taking its cue from the movie Titanic. And many disgusted black voters say they are unwilling to blindly follow the dictates of a political party that routinely ignores them until election time. Schauer will need a huge Detroit voter turnout. And he is not going to get it. It is obvious he has taken a play out of the Democratic Party book on black voters.” - Adolph Mongo is a political consultant.
