Linked In Devotion Day 14: Filled with the fullness of God Ephesians 3:19 (AMP): “[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!” It is God’s intention that those who are united to Christ and live in relationship with Him would have lives that are full – brimming with His blessing, power and purpose. He wants us to be overwhelmed with His presence and saturated with His Spirit. We don’t have to get by on crumbs of favour and grace because, in Christ, we are positioned as children of a lavish and abundant God who pours our His love on us. God’s power and fullness are available to us. He promises us that when we are filled with His Spirit, His power will flood into our lives. Bring your emptiness and powerlessness to Him and allow Him to fill you again. He will give you, not just enough to get by, but will fill you up to overflowing. Live in His fullness. Delight in His goodness. Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…” Micah 3:8: “But as for me, the LORD fills me with his spirit and power, and gives me a sense of justice and the courage to tell the people of Israel what their sins are.” Zechariah 4:6: “So he said to me, ‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the LORD Almighty.”
