LinkedIn MemberFirst of all, the employees who keep the sizeable Silicon Valley company that operates 12/7 are paid FAR LESS than those in California... that difference in overhead is nothing to scoff at. Second, Of course singles day beats out Black Friday and Cyber Monday -- -Do you realize how many people live in China, HK and Macau???? It really is a dumb comparison. Third, you cant NOT argue that the astonishing progress of huge chunks of China’s technology industry isnt due to the Chinese theft of intellectual property and protective regulation because it plays a huge role - - that and the government subsidies shovel out at these tech companies in all of the Chinese tech areas - - they get huge funding by the government. And for those best Chinese entrepreneurs, especially Jack Ma, you can bet your last dime that they cheated their way to the top. Lets face it Ali Baba made its way by selling fakes by every named brand and designer at wholesale for not even pennies but maos (the equivalent of .0002 USD) when there was no enforcement on copyright or infringement laws - - It frustrates me how this foundation is completely overlooked now. I live in China - I see the same crap everyday - as of January 2014 there are a 1,393,783,836 people here so, sure 1 in 10,000 people are creative and deserve their success but mostly its robotics and scheming to get over some how that get them through their day. Lets not forget all of the short cuts the Chinese take that others constantly pay for - dead babies from milk powder, dead family pets from dog food, poison additives to food, all of the Chinese brand cell phones that happen to look just like Samsung and Apple and any other design western innovated. And how about McDonalds, Papa Johns, KFC, etc. issues from being sold outdated meat that was repackaged with new dates and distributed across China? That came right out of Shanghai only a few months ago... Dont get it twisted, the Chinese government sets most of these companies - its all fake, just like Chinese people. If you live here and deal with Chinese people you earn very quickly that nothing is ever what it seems and just because you were given an answer or response doesnt mean it was true - as a matter of fact, its customary to if you get an ok or we can try with sucked in breath through the teeth to take it as a literal NO -- I am amazed on a daily basis how any company operates in these manners.
