Linzy Patterson 2 mins · Being somewhat of a public figure (this is nowhere near an ego thing, but let someones kid be mistreated in Amory School District and watch for the Facebook backlash), Im going to keep opinions and beliefs to myself. With that being said, Im anxious to see who from the for/against sides will actually step up and fight for economic development for Amory. When it all boils down, this was not a matter of whether drinking is right or wrong, but a matter of should it be sold in Amory. Majority of the discussions went back to economic growth. I grew up in Amory and currently have a 2 year old daughter that I would love to grow up here to experience the good of growing up in small-town. I dont see this as an option with the current situation of our town. So I challenge the individuals that spearhead both sides to keep fighting the good fight and lets Grow Amory as planned.
