Lipoma Back Since it is encapsulated, it is the easiest surgical procedure for any surgeon. I was very fond of doing these lipomas.Whenever i see such cases in OP,i will be having an urge to do the excision immediately under L.A at my consultation room itself. Yesterday i had tough time during consultation with this patient,almost half an hour.He has raised many doubts whether its a tumor arising from Kidney as it is located in the Lt.loin.When i assured him that it is arising from subcutaneous tissue and its just a கொழுப்புக் கட்டி, he raised another doubt that whether lipoma is due to increase in cholesterol.He even insisted me to check his cholesterol status and kidneys. I suggested to do Sr.cholesterol and USG to document that it is not arising from the kidney and cholesterol level has nothing to do with lipoma. I even thought of CECT Kidneys to document that his kidneys are functioning normally. In order to clear doubts of patients, nothing wrong in doing investigations for documentation even though we r convinced clinically.Doing USG and Sr.Cholesterol is not an unnecessary investigation as for as this pt.is concerned.
