Lisa is so thrilled and honored this week to have Angie Kauffman as her Parmer 12p COTW! This gal is an amazing spirit, inside and out. When she carves a pathway to her goals, she is full force, and nothing gets in her way, even blasting through 2 HIIT camps per day, some even back to back! Although, she has experienced the fitness pathway isn’t always a straight one, and has had the realization that it will have its ups/downs and sharp curves. What makes her successful, is she always gets back on track, wipes the slate clean, and begins again. This time, realizing fitness is not a destination, but an endless journey. When you see Angie in camp, she is racing to the restroom to change out of her work clothes into her fitness clothes – switching her gears from career to “Angie time”, so she can make a difference for herself, her son, and her loving partner, Phoebe! Angie and Phoebe are always seen working out together and show a great supportive partnership for each other, pushing each other to improve every day. Having them 2 in camp together, laughing and giggling, makes it an extra special part to my day as well. Congratulations Angie to your fitness journey, to your weight loss success, to just being your awesome & beautiful self. You are an inspiration to me and to SO many others. Keep pushing lady, never EVER give up, and keep flexing those glorious GUNS! Please read on and check out Angie’s great story… “I recently hit my one year mark with Synergy Fitness and over this last year, I have lost 40+ lbs, went from a size 16/18 down to a size 10, gained muscle and strength, and have increased my energy SO much! I originally joined Synergy when I realized I would be 40 soon and I was very unhealthy. It was a now or never kind of moment. Joined with a Groupon and never looked back. It has not been an easy journey and I have failed many times (days, weeks and months at a time) but I have picked myself up and got right back on track. I have realized that it’s not a one way fits all journey and I periodically need to make adjustments to continue making progress. I recently had a MAJOR discouraging set-back. I became focused on a specific pair of pants, started doing 2 classes a day without adjusting my nutrition or calorie intake and GAINED weight AND fat!!! Gasp! How could I be busting my butt and see opposite results? That’s where our great coaches play a huge part. After speaking with my coach Lisa, we got nutrition in check and I have added weight training instead of 9 classes of HIIT. Now I feel more balanced and I can focus on my current WHY. Why? I want to be healthy, I want to lose body fat, and I want to increase my muscle mass. This may take 3 months or it could take a year… I’m not stressing! I don’t care about numbers on a scale BUT I do want to look good naked!!!!”
